Last Week, FSD Zambia, ZICTA and Citi Bank hosted a collaborative and Cyber-Security Awareness Meeting with various stakeholders in Digital Financial Services (DFS). The event, which took place at the Protea Hotel in Lusaka, served as a platform to raise awareness regarding the persistent risks associated with Digital Financial Services and to delineate effective strategies that stakeholders can adopt to safeguard themselves and their clients from falling victim to DFS-related fraud. The discussions covered various aspects of digital financial security, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and protective measures in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The engagement underscored the collaborative efforts between the various players in addressing the challenges posed by digital financial crimes. In her address, the acting FSD Zambia CEO, Ms. Lillian Chilongo also highlighted the need to have an inclusive approach to tackling cyber security so that even the financially excluded members of society may gain trust in the DFS.

Through the exchange of knowledge and expertise, the stakeholders made steps to foster a more secure and resilient digital financial ecosystem.
