SDG 5. Gender equality. Cooking is mainly done by girls/women and takes a lot of their time. By reducing time spent on cooking or collecting wood fuel, girls/women can engage in other activities such as Education. The enterprise also aims at supporting women with entrepreneurial trainings

SDG 13. Climate Action. The slag stove is reducing carbon dioxide emissions by decreasing on the amount of trees cut for wood fuel purposes. This is due to the less amounts of charcoal/firewood compared to the traditional brazier (mbabula) used especially in colder seasons.
