WHAT IS A SLAG STOVE?

A slag stove is an improved renewable energy saving stove that aims at saving charcoal or wood for Consumer and Environmental benefits.

DOES THE SLAG STOVE USE CHARCOAL OR FIREWOOD?

Yes it uses charcoal and firewood in a specific type too but both in fewer amounts compared to the brazier because of the heat contribution from the treated copper slag. Briquettes are mostly encouraged as an alternative to charcoal.

WHY COPPER SLAG?

Copper slag has excellent heat properties. It absorbs and retains heat for a longer period. When treated, it’s harmless and emissions are average making it safe for home use.

DO I HAVE TO ADD COPPER SLAG TO THE STOVE?

No, the copper slag is treated, upgraded and fitted in the stove. It comes together with the stove

WHY IS THE STOVE UNIQUE?

The slag stove is special because heat is produced from the burning material like charcoal and the treated slag around the stove. The double heat from the treated slag and charcoal or briquettes enables the consumer to save twice the amount of charcoal used and cooks meals 10 minutes.
faster than on a brazier.

WHAT ARE THE ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF THE STOVE?

By saving amounts of charcoal or firewood in rural areas, we’re reducing on Deforestation and mitigating Climate change. The usage of charcoal briquettes as alternative to charcoal makes it the excellent energy option. The addition of copper slag to the stove helps in managing industrial
wastes caused by copper mining.
